Birke

Birke believes our program was a blessing from God that saved her. Once struggling to survive by washing clothes, she now runs a successful vegetable-selling business.

Thanks to a government-supported opportunity, Birke started selling vegetables in rural areas. With her keen business sense, she has built a thriving enterprise and saved 30,000 birr. A proud mother of two boys (ages 19 and 11), both in school, Birke beams with happiness as she talks about her family’s improved life.

Her favorite part of the program was the nutritional education. She now feeds her family well and enjoys better health herself. Birke’s joy is evident in her warm smile, and her resilience inspires everyone she meets.
